(Put in a little TLC and get a lot of love back!)

Let’s face it your designer handbag is amazing! Whether it’s a handbag you own or one you’re renting, you want to keep it looking like new forever. (The sign of a true handbag fanatic.) Maintaining the beauty of designer handbags is up to each us. Here’s some tips that I hope will help.
Feel free to share some of your own tips and tricks with us!

Keep your handbag off the floor! Treat it like it’s your baby – because it is!

  • Avoid placing your handbag on the floor where it can get damaged by dirt, water or scratched. Place you’re handbags on a shelf when your storing them and use a purse hook if possible when you are out and about.
  • Keep your handbag dry!
  • Protect your bag from the both the outside elements and inside your closet. Especially Suede or other soft leathers than can easily damage and stain.
  • A great way to store handbags is to put them in wicker storage baskets. This protects them from the elements and lets them breathe.
  • Definitely use the protective Dustcover that came with your handbag, and if you don’t have one for your bag use a cotton cover, avoid using plastic.
  • To keep your handbags in great shape in between use stuff them with bubble wrap or tissue paper. (avoid newsprint.)
  • Don’t make your handbag ride the luggage carrier! Carry your bag onboard rather than checking it.

And be mindful of what goes into your handbag.
The interior is special too! Place makeup, perfume, and any pens in a separate pouch inside your bag.

You can completely get your money’s worth out of each incredible designer bag you own with some of these tips. Things like this are how I keep my Laura Lee clutch in great shape. And if your like me, you can’t go anywhere without your go-to bag, so of course you wanna keep it in good condition!
